Our favourite local Vietnamese restaurant! We have been here several times and it has been great every single time. The food tastes authentic and reminds me of home. Their menu is extensive and food comes out quickly. Please do yourself a favour and try this place out!

The dining experience at this Vietnamese restaurant was amazing. Every dish showcased the rich and vibrant flavors of Vietnamese food. The crispy Vietnamese pancakes were a delightful start, golden and perfectly cooked, crispy and served with fresh shrimp and pork with a sweet and sour dipping sauce. The spicy beef and pork noodle soup was a standout, bursting with rich, savory spices and tender, flavorful meat that warmed the heart with every bite. The steamed rice rolls were soft and silky, the minced pork filling melting in the mouth, complementing the perfect balance of sweet and sour in the accompanying sauce. I have never been to Vietnam but every dish here was prepared with such care and authenticity that it felt like I was traveling to Vietnam on a plate. Although the restaurant was crowded, the waiters were still very enthusiastic and attentive. I didn't expect much but I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. For anyone craving authentic Vietnamese food, this restaurant is a must try.

Went there for a quick late lunch around 2:45pm with family. Not sure if it’s near break time, staff was mopping the floor when we went in. We ordered a Vietnamese pancake. A fried chicken noodle soup, a spring roll and a prawn chips with pork. Vietnamese pancake was crispy and fresh. Crispy chicken skin was to die for. Kids love the prawn chips. The place is nice and tidy but the interior design was not the latest. But its a kids friendly restaurant so we will be back

Another great Vietnamese restaurant in Marrickville! The dishes are good portions and quite cheap too. The banh cuon was a little oilier than expected but that’s because it’s fried in a different way. Definitely would return.

Was extremely satisfied with my dinning experience after my last visit to this authentic Vietnamese restaurant. From my first steps into the establishment I was warmly greeted by the uplifting staff which were enthusiastic to answer questions about unfamiliar dishes. After ordering, my meal was promptly served fresh. The ingredients used gave me an unforgettable taste of Vietnam. I enjoyed each bite of my meal finish with a sense of value and satisfaction. Gia Dinh offering authentic drinks and dishes and is an amazing spot to dine with family or solo at lunch or dinner. Highly recommend to all

Dinner at Gia Dinh in Marrickville was absolutely delicious! We had beef pho, spring rolls, banh xeo (Vietnamese pancake), and combination rice, and honestly, it was so hard to pick a favourite because I loved them all. The banh xeo was so crispy—one of the best I’ve ever eaten. It just needed a little more pork and prawn in the filling to make it perfect. The beef pho was comforting and full of flavour, the spring rolls were crunchy and tasty, and the combination rice was spot on

Overall: 5/7 They sell some items outside the norm of Viet food in Sydney. Their hotpot’s are pretty decent, deceptively big. Reasonably priced considering the portion size. ~50$ for the two items Seafood hotpot: 4/7 Deceptively big. Takes a little while to cook. Soup is decent. Crispy chicken: 6/7 Some of the best Viet crispy chicken I’ve ever had. Very crispy and the chicken was fantastically cooked - flavourful, tender and juicy. Highly recommend.

My review relates purely to the rare beef Pho which is right up there with the best in Marrickville. The beef was fresh and rare, just the way I like, bled and patted dry and free from any blood that would taint the crisp broth. The broth is exactly what you would expect from a handed down family recipe and is absolutely delicious, dark and flavoursome. Double thumbs up for the food There is a 1.5 hour dining limit, so don’t plan to loiter. Tea which is generally complimentary elsewhere will cost you $1 per person. Small single shopfront Vietnamese cafe, gets quite busy but table turnover is quick. Friendly efficient staff get the job done with minimal client interaction.
